Why this work matters
Dignity, voice and opportunity belong to everyone.
People can be excluded from services, decision-making and opportunity when they lack information about their rights or face discrimination and social barriers.
YWAFT works with women, girls, young people and marginalised groups to strengthen rights awareness, meaningful participation and access to support. Community dialogue creates space to challenge discrimination and promote dignity.
Inclusion is connected to education, protection, livelihoods and accountable leadership. When people understand their rights and can participate safely, communities make fairer decisions and respond more effectively to exclusion.
The challenge
Rights remain out of reach when exclusion, silence and unequal power go unchallenged.
Limited awareness, discrimination and barriers to participation can prevent people from accessing services, seeking support and influencing decisions that affect their lives.
